Capt Shindy versus the Fascists: extreme, ill-informed fringe group menaces pioneering naval officer

You may recall we recently republished a Daily Telegraph article on the groundbreaking work of RAN Captain Mona Shindy in her role as Chief of Navy’s Strategic Adviser on Islamic Cultural Affairs.

However this is but one of Capt. Shindy’s many achievements after 26 years of service in the ADF. Last year she was named as 2015 Telstra NSW Businesswoman of the Year. She was on active service during the 2003 Iraq War. She holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree and is Head of the Guided Missile Frigate System Program Office. In the 2015 Australia Day Honours she was awarded the Conspicuous Service Cross.

Conspicuous Service Cross

The CSC is awarded only for outstanding devotion to duty, or outstanding achievement in the application of exceptional skills, judgment or dedication, in non-warlike situations.

So it was with a good deal of concern that we read this report in today’s Guardian dealing with the sudden removal of the Navy’s Islamic Twitter account (@navyislamic).

mona5

And how and why was the Twitter account removed?

“The head of the ALA (Australian Liberty Alliance), Debbie Robinson, who has previously described Islam as “a dangerous ideology” incompatible with Western society, wrote to the chief of the Australian defence force, Air Chief Marshal Mark Binskin, on 10 December asking the navy to distance itself from the account or delete it.

“It is completely unacceptable for an official defence Twitter account to criticise any registered political party in Australia,” Robinson said in a press release.”

We have a number of posts detailing anti-Muslim extremist Debbie Robinson’s work.

We also went through them and through the MSM carefully trying to find an achievement – any achievement – to mention.

All we could find in the MSM was that she was married to an orthopaedic surgeon, a notion we find quaintly Mad Men in its 1950s aspirational tone.

And hubby is a tad shy about his political leanings but it seems he too does have some association with Fascist foreigner Geert Wilders’s latest offshore embryonic party branch (see Perth Now)

We’d like to think that newly minted Defence Minister Marise Payne may not have been informed of this preremptory response. In case she was not you can contact her via the links  here

The PFF – a soft and sloppy party farty farts again

#smh_news                 #guardian                 #abcnews

Once upon a time, the offspring of a Russian immigrant yearned to stamp his presence on the Australian landscape.

The resulting impact could be likened to the thud a parasite-ravaged dead autumn leaf makes as it plops to the ground.

Nicholas Hunter Folkes started his relentless quest for Führerdom with the Australian Protectionist Party, founded by former Nazi Darrin Hodges.

Seeking some sort of respectability and by now enamoured of Dutch far right politician and Muslimhater Pursuivant Geert Wilders, Niqi (named for his favourite piece of women’s clothing) and his ragged band of disciples then split from the APP and founded the Party for Freedom, named after Gertie’s little lot in the Netherlands.

Niqi’s revered mentor Geert Wilders in a landmark contemplative moment

You can read some of Niqi’s history here, slackbastard has more here and you can actually watch him in a rool TV series here (provided you pay cash-strapped SBS for the privilege).

Far right self-styled “white nationalists” are universally dim bulbs at best but even Niqi seems to have realised that going hard on Muslims might be not the way to go at the moment, given the sad fates of fellow Muslim haters and white supremacists Nathan Abela and ADF KP veteran Ralph “Sad Sack” Cerminara , both of the ADL.

Ralphski fights the Islamic hordes

To date to the best of our knowledge Niqi has not yet been charged with anything  but there is always a first time.

You don’t have to look very far to see that Niqi has a long history of Chinese-hate. On the other hand he has stated on several occasions his preferred Australian is something called an “Anglo-Celtic”.

Since Niqi is neither Anglo nor Celtic we find that rather puzzling.

So Niqi and his faithful body servant Radka Smith (AKA “Ozzie Possum”) along with a scattering of really weird people are taking on the supposed fiscal might of the PRC and the billions of Chinese poised to invade the Great Golden Mountain and steal all our McMansions.

The Yellow Peril strikes again!

Now the way in which you’d expect the pffs to conduct their research would be to do drive-bys of auctions and open houses and count the number of Asian faces they see then extrapolate that into a tsunami of fear and loathing against the Chinese. We’ve seen them do that sort of “research” before with other minorities and it lets the pffs pretend they are normal people with amazeballs knowledge of demography and economics.

dunce

Amazeballs

 The facts

There are 1.5 million people of East Asian descent living in Australia. The forebears of some of those families have lived here longer than Niqi’s family. However contrary to the pffs’ delusions they are not all Chinese.

The largest group of East Asians are people of Chinese descent, and they range from new arrivals to second, third and fourth generation Australians.

The next largest East Asian group is Filipinos. Filipinos have lived in Australia since the beginning of the 20th Century. The smallest group is the Tibetans, most of whom are refugees.

However as you can expect pffs cannot tell the difference between Chinese and all the other East Asian people who live here. It’s a bit like assuming all Europeans are the same, or all Africans. It’s called prejudice.

So if an East Asian family or (shock horror) a mixed couple fronts up to an auction or open house, the pffs scramble back to their sewers and declare that Straya is being invaded by Chinese.

Josh Qong Tart – part of the imaginary Chinese invasion?

niqiantichinese

Japanese, Chinese – to the PFF they are all the same. From a racist flyer littered around the inner west and lower North Shore of Sydney.

Actually an Opera House done up as a Chinese flag would be cool for the Vivid Festival. Tourists would love it.

According to FIRB data, the dollar value of real estate investment approvals by country last financial year looked like this:

China $12,406m
USA $6,135m
Singapore $4,303m
Canada $2,945m
Malaysia $2,038m
UK $1,795m
Netherlands $1,720m
NZ $1,362m
Hong Kong $1,279m
Germany $1,169m
South Korea $1,083m
And that esteemed body the Reserve Bank notes in its report that:

The available data, while incomplete, suggest that for much of the past decade or so approvals granted for foreign investment in the residential sector have remained around 5–10 per cent of the value of dwelling turnover in Australia, and perhaps half that share of the total number of dwellings turned over. The actual level of foreign purchases of dwellings has been significantly lower. Foreign purchases appear to be most concentrated in new rather than established dwellings,in higher- rather than lower-priced dwellings, in medium- and high-density dwellings rather than detached dwellings, and in inner-city areas of Sydney and Melbourne rather than other locations

And this article tells us the following:

Blaming foreigners for astronomical prices is nothing but a scapegoat for the policies enacted by government on behalf of bankers and landowners that makes housing unaffordable. Those who are discontented with the current states of affairs should focus their attention on our own government rather than searching for foreign influences.

Add to that the universal tendency of the residential property market and developers to talk up their offerings, to oversell and to bully councils and communities into accepting unsustainable developments and you have the reasons why housing costs so much.

Maybe Niqi with his cosy perch in one of the wealthiest suburbs in Sydney with at least one property in Rozelle does not get that.

We do.

1,000 brain-dead Aussies can be wrong

Imagine over 2,000 posts on a deliberately provocative question from  shock TV current affairs programme Sunday Night regarding the tragic murder of  Trooper Lee Rigby in London.

Over 90% of the posts are bigoted repetitive rubbish. We feature but a small selection here.

What stands out is that the fact the murder took place in Britain seems to have completely escaped the motley array of ignorant bogots commenting.

leerigby1

leerigby2

What, ONE politician should be watching? Probably an Islamophobe – are you listening Cory Bernardi?

Err Kerry, WHAT dictatorship? The UK? Well some Brits may think so but we don’t think the UK has reached North Korean levels of oppression quite yet.

leerigby3

Umm…derr  “this man” (we assume you mean Anjem Choudary) never lived in Australia. The murder of Lee Rigby took place in Britain. Choudary is British.

leerigby4

Well Alyson is correct, though not for the reasons she thinks. Australia is a secular country. And we do not have an established church or any other established religious body.

The UK actually does. It is called the Church of England and 21 of its Bishops sit in the House of Lords, the upper house of the UK Parliament. There are no clerics from other religious bodies who have this privilege.

Now for the guffaw factor – Matthew fervently whispers “atleast (sic) the adl is on the way”

adlmaydemo

You mean these muppets?

leerigby5

Blake parades his paranoia, followed by Monika who decides the story will “outrage Aussies”. Well we do get outraged when we see a gathering of the most ignorant parading their ignorance on a public forum. Makes us wish we were in a more civilised country.

And Alex Car-name has decided that “AUSTRAILIANS” should form lynch mobs for some non-existent threat.

Now we knew it wouldn’t be too long with so much ignorance stewing before some of Australia’s least wanted turned up to join the hate-fest.

First comes the beige shirts of the (Niqi-less) APP complete with an ad for their dreary web page.

leerigby6

Now here’s a supporter of serial electoral rent-seeker Pauline Hanson

leerigby7

But she’ll collect her taxpayer funding on the way right Melanie?

Oh here’s another Hanson fan who wants the National Anthem before the news each night.

We prefer Clarke and Dawe ourselves, but perhaps we could arrange for the PM to send Noel a reel-to-reel tape in keeping with the quaintness of the sentiment.

And let’s NOT have the guns ever back in this country. Remember Port Arthur, Columbine, Virginia Tech, New Town?

leerigby8

And here’s an old “pal” we featured a while back. Still an extremist nutjob spouting lies.

leerigby9

It looks like Cassandra is bedazzled by yet another foreign extremist.

leerigby10

Hate to bust your romantic balloon Cassandra, but Wilders is a bigot.  And his party has actually lost support.

leerigby11

So here’s Scott Moerland again, promoting an extremist far right party with an extremist far right founder in the form of the notorious Christian preacher Danny Nalliah.

It was only a matter of time before “Debski Bebski”, intimate friend of a range of trolls, fronted up to give her 2 cents worth of homespun theology. And 2 cents is all it is worth.

leerigby12

We’d like to suggest that “Debski” gives up on the amateur theology and withdraws from bigotry.

Here's "Debski" AKA Deborah Daldy of Western Sydney. She likes walks on the beach and blatant bigotry.

Party for Fascism Freedumb and the pathway to fail

Nicholas Folkes and his fast-diminishing fan club, now called the Party for Freedumb or something equally dopey, are the Don Quixotes of the far right.

quixote

Don Niqi does the stupid again

You would think that at some stage some kind person would take them aside and point out what muppets they are. But instead they keep on the same pathway to fail.

The pathway to fail in this instance was Sussex Street Sydney on Sunday 20th June outside the closed-for-the-weekend Labor Council office during World Refugee Week. And with typical strategic foresight the Pffs decided to hold their gigantic big huge awesome demo. Something about visa overstayers…?

1. on a Sunday in the middle of winter
2. in what is effectively a narrow one way street

To top it all off Sussex Street is almost in Chinatown. How the bogots must have been filled with fear to see the thousands of local and overseas Asians who flock there at weekends to sample the retail and culinary delights of nearby Haymarket.

Here is Niqi’s pathetic little hate gathering.

Thousands Hundreds A few Muslim haters shivering outside an evil green socialist left-wing building with a blue car.

Thousands Hundreds A few Muslim haters shivering outside an evil green socialist left-wing building with a blue car.

Here is the real Rally for Refugees, attracting hundreds of people held at the Town Hall on the same day and featuring well-known guest speakers.

We can tell you who featured at Sussex Street. Niqi’s new Sancho Panza, Ralphski.

pffdemo15

Here’s Ralphski all kitted up in hate gear. He has also come to our attention before.

Ralph also likes to contact women he doesn’t even know. That must be why he is currently desperate and dateless. Note the breathtaking sophistication of the message.

pffdemo16a

Ah well he always has Niqi. Niqi doesn’t like women all that much either.

Now Niqi was it really fair to subject those 15 odd definitely mentally impaired racists to the horrors of multicultural Sydney with all those scary people of a different colour and all that delicious foreign food when all they want to do on a cold Sunday is to huddle at home like troo Strayans and watch people whom they think look like them on the telly?

And always the copycats, they cannot even copy-and-paste their own party correctly. Niqi has long insisted that his new Facebook group party is modelled on his hero Geert Wilders’ Freedom Party.

However there is one glaring difference. Wilders it seems has no problems with GLBTI rights and same sex marriage. Everything with his limited issue party is subsumed to the task of ridding the Netherlands and Europe of “teh_mooslems”.

By contrast Niqi’s PFF party is all over the shop with “policies” on everything grabbed from a motley array of far right sewers including Fred Nile’s Christian Democrats, Niqi’s former home the Australian Pathetic Party, the League of Rights, One Nation… you get the picture?

We won’t bore you with a link but if you want to have a laugh just Google “Party for Freedom”.

Niqi has also been somewhat out of favour with certain other nutzis because he has an Asian wife – despite his well-publicised vilification of Filipino women and his championing of white exceptionalism.

You can read all about it here

And here’s a demo evaluation from some senior sources in the Pff

Islamophobia overshadows bipartisan multiculturalism inquiry

By: admin
March 26 2013 22:52

A small but vocal group of bigots can congratulate themselves for successfully hijacking a much-needed national discussion on multicultural service provision, writes Dr Chloe Patton.

By Dr Chloe PattonBy Dr Chloe Patton

THE Joint Standing Committee on Migration’s report on its two-year inquiry into multiculturalism released last week is the most significant statement on multiculturalism in Australia since the Government’s 2011 “People of Australia” statement.

The Australian reported that the inquiry has been overwhelmed by concern about Muslim integration, leading its bipartisan Committee to declare that it “does not support legal pluralism”. Of the 512 submissions the inquiry received, 212 directly raised questions about Islam.

What The Australian omitted to mention, however, was that none of these submissions directly addressed the inquiry’s terms of reference, and were therefore about as relevant to the task at hand as 212 musings on last night’s episode of Master Chef. The joint Standing Committee on Migration called for submissions from the public to help it report on issues surrounding migrant settlement, the effects of globalisation on social inclusion, and the contribution of migration to the nation’s productive capacity.

More than forty per cent of what it received, instead, demanded that Australia abandon its policy of multiculturalism because Muslims are said to be:

Illume_Islamophobia_Ridz_004

  • taking over;
  • not assimilating;
  • having too many wives;
  • having too many children;
  • marrying off their daughters too young;
  • killing their wives;
  • forming ghettos;
  • ruining Christmas;
  • establishing Islamic schools;
  • refusing to work;
  • building too many mosques;
  • taking offence too easily;
  • demanding Shariah courts;
  • plotting to kill non-Muslims;
  • bringing their families over;
  • wanting to live in the seventh century;
  • hating democracy;
  • not speaking English;
  • watching too much Arabic news on satellite TV;
  • wearing burqas;
  • eating halal food;
  • mutilating genitals;
  • wrecking Europe;
  • hampering access to suburban public swimming pools;

and so on.

These submissions paint such a detailed and disturbing picture of the Islamophobic attitudes held by some Australians that it is worthwhile considering whether they are representative of broader public opinion.

The answer? Not exactly.

Fundamentalist Christians were significantly over-represented among the voices heard. The inquiry’s final report notes that around eighty per cent of the submissions declared that Australia is a Christian country and should not accommodate other value systems. Many of the anonymous individual submission authors identified themselves as Christian. A number of unfounded claims cited in the report’s chapter on Islam – for instance, that 15 per cent of Australian Muslims hold fundamentalist views – were attributed to a Christian organisation called the Salt Shakers, whose website indicates they strongly support the political views of Geert Wilders. Two Christian anti-abortion lobby groups, the Family Council of Victoria and the Endeavour Forum, are also cited in the report.

A further two extreme-right racist groups round out the views of organisations included among the Islamophobic submissions. The Australia Defence League is a small local chapter of the neo-Nazi street groups more common in Europe, while the Q Society of Australia received national notoriety recently for bringing Wilders to these shores.

While much of the rhetoric espoused before the inquiry can be dismissed as the ramblings of fringe-dwelling tinfoil-hat wearers, it is worth recognising that a significant number of Australians have problems accepting Islam as a legitimate part of the Australian social landscape. As the inquiry’s report notes, in 2012 the Scanlan Foundation found that one in four Australians hold negative feelings about Islam. Fifty-six per cent of respondents to a 2011 Essential Research poll said they were concerned about the number of Muslims living in Australia, with roughly half saying they felt ‘very concerned’. A quarter of the overall sample polled said that Muslims should be excluded from Australia’s migrant intake.

Dog whistle politics from both major parties appears to be stoking xenophobic fears in the community. Image: Left Flank

Interestingly, 65 per cent of respondents to the latter poll believed that the proportion of the Australian population that identifies as Muslim is higher than it is. When informed of the correct figure (1.7 per cent), a significant number of respondents reassessed their views. In light of this apparent mutability of Islamophobic views, the Committee’s painstaking efforts to debunk the misconceptions about Islam and Muslims in its report are commendable.

The report’s statement about legal pluralism was only part of one of the recommendations made in its chapter on Islam. The Committee also recommends that the Australian Government continue to support programs promoting intercultural and interfaith understanding in Australian universities, institutions and the community sector. It recommends the institution of regular interfaith and intercultural dialogues involving the broader community leadership to better target settlement services and foster wider inter-community understanding.

I would suggest that in addition to investing in feel-good interfaith activities, the Government gets as tough on Islamophobic extremism as it is on Islamic extremism. Perhaps it’s high time the narrative of concern over extremism in this country is re-worked — let’s replace the young Muslim with the average Australian as the stereotypical vulnerable object of extremist ideology.

Nick Folkes flogs a dead stalking donkey

donkeymajorette

Fresh from his latest non-triumph as chief dumb majorette for the recent visit of the Netherlands’ own bland bumshell, Niqi “36 votes” Folkes, failed Prime Minister, also now known as “Geert-by-sea” in homage to his new peroxided hero, has swiftly positioned himself and his dead donkey onto the Laura Norder bandwagon. This  follows inflammatory remarks from some intemperate Opposition front-benchers about a recent sexual assault which took place in university accommodation.

Never one to allow facts, the judicial process or compassion for a victim of crime to stand in the way of a publicity stunt, Niqi and his handful of pathetic rag-tag followers aim to turn up at Macquarie University to yell and wave signs at the students and staff there, thus achieving….umm….

nickyprotest2

Now we are sure that most people are concerned and outraged by the alleged sexual assault. There is no doubt that violence against women is a serious problem in Australia, and such violence is massively unreported despite reforms to legal processes because victims often are apprehensive of the legal process itself, and for good reason.

Surprising though it may seem (or maybe not) there is also a culture of acceptance at universities of abominable behaviour towards women by some men, both students and staff, and a culture of sexual entitlement on the part of these men.

And despite our very own Niqab Niqi, self-appointed champion of abused women, flogging his own knackered mount, he really does not have a good track record towards women. Not at all.

The Not-so-flying Dutchman

We don’t have to spend much time talking about Geert Wilders. He is already an experienced self-publicist.

Geert Wilders as a child

Geert Wilders as a child

He is also coming to Australia at the invitation of the shadowy mini group the Q Society. Among the activities of the Q Society was an apparently failed attempt to bully a suburban council in Melbourne who were allowing Muslims to use a Council-owned community centre for prayers.

Anyway here’s a brief bio for those interested in international Fascism’s latest pin-up boy.

We prefer slackbastard’s take.

And a Dutch fan has actually crafted a glamour shot.

Meanwhile, supporters of Geert in Australia were somewhat taken aback when the proposed Sydney venue for the fash fest pulled out, obviously having second thoughts at the low quality of the expected participants.

geertwilderssupporters

Well fan boys, there’s always Nicky’s pied-à-terre in Rozelle, which seems to be the regular venue of choice in Sydney for the far right to celebrate its irrelevance. Especially with someone as charismatic as their Geertjie.

The charisma of Geert Wilders

Friends of Geert get together at a US hate fest

Meanwhile Australia’s own pet Eurofash Welf Herfurth pulls out.

When not running a paintball business Welf can be found with a fistful of yoof called the National Anarchist Movement – best known for contradicting itself in the first two words of its name. Nice to see Welf wants to protect his lads from “teh_Zionists”.

UPDATE

Looks like it isn’t just the other fash who are keeping Geertje at arm’s length.

Fake soldat Sargent KoranFlusher is devastated by the refusal of those beastly function centres to play host to a foreign fringe politician and his fan club of kooks, haters and wacko conspiracy theorists patriots, as reported by Farts of Jihad’s Werner Reimann.

Geert Wilders in Australia, February 2013

slackbastard

Posted on February 2, 2013 by @ndy

Update : Fairfax has an article on Wilders’ tour titled ‘White supremacists ready for fight’ (Natalie O’Brien, The Age, February 2, 2013). It refers, inter alia, to the ‘Australian New Nation’ website — established several years ago in order to replace the White Pride Coalition of Australia site — and the Internet radio show ‘Australia Calling’. ‘Australia Calling’ is produced by Brisbane nazi Carl D Thompson, who briefly came to public attention some years ago when he lost his job editing the One Nation newspaper after publishing some anti-Semitic material.

Muslim-hating Dutch rightist Geert Wilders is gonna be touring Down Under in a few weeks. The Flying Dutchman’s tour is being organised by an anti-Islamic group known as the Q Society, and Wilders is scheduled to speak in Melbourne on the 19th, Perth on the 20th and Sydney on the 22nd of February, with the venues only being announced a day or two prior.* Unsurprisingly, having already roused controversy, Wilder’s tour is expected to generate some opposition, but also a good deal of support, especially among the far-right fringe. To that end, a number of individuals drawn from racist and fascist groups will be attending Wilder’s events :– some ostensibly in order to protect them from disruption.

Or were . . .

Within 48 hours of declaring that it was the sacred duty of White racialists to attend Wilder’s event in Sydney — largely in order to show the dastardly Reds who’s boss — Welf Herfurth — the leader of the minuscule forces of the New Right (NR) in Australia — changed his mind, and declared it to be a positively dreadful idea, one which risked aligning the NR with Zionists (ergo Jews).

Well, kinda . . .

Actually, the former NPD, ON and Democrats (!) member was admonished by his master, Troy Southgate, to pull his head in and think a li’l moar about the implications of aligning his handful of followers with The Jew. Thus:

Note that Herfurth’s mob last reared its head in Sydney back in November, when police provided them a platform at a Palestine solidarity rally; Herfurth himself is a Holocaust denialist and strong supporter of his kamerad Uncle Fred Toben.

Australian Protectionist Party & Conservative Islamophobia

Of course, support for Wilder’s message also extends deep into the conservative heartland, and includes prominent Muslim-baiters in the Tory party as well as handsomely-paid hacks in the corporate and state media. Further, the conservative embrace/promotion of paranoid fears over Muslamics has stolen a good deal of oxygen from a number of racist, right-wing fringe-dwellers, including Anders Breivik’s friends in the Australian Protectionist Party (APP). Just five short years after its foundation as a more ‘moderate’, less anti-Semitic version of the Australia First Party (AF), the APP has undergone its first major crisis, with the entirety of its Sydney branch decamping in order to establish yet another marginal bunch of kooks, this time modelled on Wilder’s Freedom Party (the APP modelled itself on the BNP). Whether or not the handful who spat the dummy can actually assemble another party remains to be seen, but given that they were the only active members the APP possessed the Protectionists seem doomed to disappear back into oblivion.

Or perhaps not.

Andrew Phillips, APP National Chairman, has relocated himself and his PO Box to Tasmania, while the party continues to nominate two others as contacts for NSW and VIC. Having lost perennial losers Darrin Hodges and Nicholas Hunter-Folkes, Phillips is now begging someone — anyone — to nominate themselves to undergo the humiliation of losing another popularity contest. Those interested can write to P.O. Box 170, Dover, Tasmania 7117 (which also functions as the postal address of Meals On Wheels in that part of the world).

*According to Q, “Details will be advised to paid-up patrons 48 hours prior to event. Expect a function centre within easy reach of the CBD. Photo ID is required to enter; only one small handbag per patron permitted into the venue.” Paul Sheehan writes for the defence here and you can read more about the Q Society on their webshite.

(More) Bloody Foreigners Making Trouble

Overseas: Stephen Yaxley-Lennon (aka ‘Tommy Robinson’ aka ‘Paul Harris’), the leader of the E E EDL, has been sentenced to 10 months jail for ‘possession of a false identity document with improper intention’, viz entering the US to attend an anti-Muslim gathering using a false passport. (Tommy’s troubles mirror those of Martin Brennan, another whinging Pom and the former leader of the A A ADL, forcibly expelled from Australia in August 2011 for immigration offences.) Also in attendance at the gathering in New York in September last year was Yanqui crackpot Robert Spencer. Spencer is described as ‘VP Islamic Scripture and History’ for the Q Society and runs a loon website called jihadwatch; the Coordinator for Victoria/Tasmania and Secretary of the Society is Ralf Schumann; Andrew McDonald is their Administrator in NSW while in Perth Debbie Robinson coordinates teh stoopid. Anyway, here’s a picture of the patriotic sheila from Perf (Debbie Robinson) and two foreign loons (Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer) holding the Strayan flag at SION:

More on Geert’s tour later maybe . . .

(Tall) Tales of Hoffman

Otto Hoffman was an obscure American B picture film actor who died from lung cancer at the age of 65.

Otto Hoffman actor

His namesake is an obscure apparently Australian Islamophobic B grade bore who unfortunately is very much alive.

Otto Facebook

Note his lovingly assembled collection of fellow phobes such as the Muslim hater “Robert Spencer”, “Spencer”‘s paymaster David Horowitz, batshit crazy US blogging bimbo Pam Geller and dodgy far right Dutch politician Geert Wilders.

Normally Otto confines his inanities to a ragtag collection of anti-Muslim sites where he is welcome and comfortable with his own sort.

For instance if you are keen to follow Otto on Yahoo! here he is

Otto Yahoo

And just take a look here! Not content with being a Muslim-hater and Christian Talibani, our Otto is also a birther (*snigger) and is happy to admit it

For those who fortunately have not yet encountered the birther myth, it’s the one that casts doubt on the veracity US President Barack Obama’s birth certificate which states clearly he was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and was therefore constitutionally eligible to be a candidate for the Presidency.

What the birther myth actually was about was racism – the horror amongst white exceptionalists that an African-American should dare run for the Presidency and actually win office.

Now watch Otto try and tell us he is not racist even as he approvingly quotes another racist poster on this topic despite his fellow poster “Peter” on the Andrew Bolt blog trying to put him right.

Otto birther

Guess what Otto, everybody’s birth certificate is now computer generated in this country and in the US, including ours.

And not content with infesting the print media blogs, Otto then heads over to Sydney radio station 2UE to let its audience know how much he hates and fears Muslims.

Otto 2UE post

Now since Muslim hating site Australian Islamist Monitor collapsed into irrelevancy Otto has been lonely and craving an audience so much he has been lately infesting this blog with his unwanted musings, despite it being largely a gathering place for the people Otto hates most – left wingers, socially conscious Christians and Muslims.

Otto has some education and a certain amount of literacy which distinguishes him from the usual mouth-breathing illiterate xenophobes. However we are not easily fooled and Otto’s arguments have all the authenticity of  the cacophony described in Corinthians 13:1.

Otto specialises in collecting fatwas the way other men collect stamps. No matter if the fatwa comes from a semi-literate desert Imam or from a descendant of the Prophet, Otto collects them assiduously and gives them all equal weight. Similarly with hadiths (Qur’anic commentaries), where he carefully cherry-picks those which best suit his self-image as a Hollywood movie crusader heading off to save “Western civilisation” from “teh_Mooslems.

How Hollywood and Otto see Crusaders

And how the late Professor Norman Cohn on US Public Radio sees the Crusades.

Otto argues the way Christian Taliban exceptionalists always argue

A: There is a God who looks just like mine does.
B: Prove it.
A: No.
B: Why not?
A: I don’t have to

Otto thinks his version of God should take precedence over everyone else’s

A: My God is the correct one
B: Prove it.
A: No.
B: Why not?
A: I don’t have to

Otto thinks he has the right to promote his god exclusively among vulnerable children

A: Only my God should be taught in schools
B: Why?
A: Because I said so
B: Why does your God have to be taught
A: Because he stops terrorism
