Gay Marriage Infringes on James Darby’s Rights

Apparently Ms Naidoo infringes on this jerk’s rights by stating that marriage should be about equality, and that over 60% of Australians support gay marriage. That apparently prevents him from ‘encouraging’ his ‘offspring’ from being straight.

I can’t imagine anything worse than being encouraged by this braindead fuck to make a choice about who to love.

  1. Hmmmm ‘Don’t believe polls they are rigged’ on the one hand, and then on the other hand ‘We have run many and the true support…’

So given your distrust for polls, cause they’re rigged, why would we believe YOUR numbers, Ablow?

Seriously, would you like some BBQ sauce to make that shoe leather you’re ingesting a bit more palatable?

  2. if someone else being treated like a human being and having rights is offensive and difficult for him i’d imagine gay marriage is the least of his problems……dumb shit.

  3. Awww, he doesn’t want to share his marriage with homosexuals? Has anyone told him that same-sex marriage doesn’t mean you have to become bisexual swingers and/or have a threesome?

    What a peanut.

Has anyone told Blowhard that SAYING THINGS IN ALL CAPS doesn’t make them true… in fact it’s a 97% probability that if something is written in all caps, it’s complete and utter mindless bullshit? lol

Mike Allen… there are no words for his level of stupidity.

  4. James do believe in same sex marriage, the same sex for him for years?

And if blowhole feels polls are rigged, then why run many?

  5. Ok, I’m confused…WTF is “repaid their parents, for being what they are, by staying at home” is english? Anyone?

I’d also like to know what he means by “encourage” his kids to be heterosexual.
No wonder so many gay teenagers end up depressed or suicidal if they have parents who “encourage” them to be straight.

Still, the fact that he refers to the PM as “Juliar” automatically renders his opinion on anything other than what socks he shouls wear null and void.

  6. I suspect that James Darby has had to “encourage” himself to be heterosexual. There’s something very repressed about him it seems.

  7. Perhaps James has used the wrong words to express himself.

Only dimwitted morons use name calling to try to make their point. There is no need for this when a person is a reasonable, educated, literate, humane, homo sapiens.

And while I am appauld by practicing homosexuals because it goes against God and nature (they cannot reproduce; adoption and invitro aside). I am of the opinion that in this day when God sees fit to let us make our own rules in this grace aministration that homosexuals should be pitied and not discriminated against. But by all means let us all remember that this mental illness (and until the mid to late twentieth century homosexuality was listed as a mental illness among psychiatrists and other mental health experts) should not be encouraged because once this lifestyle is ingrained in an individual it becomes like any other physical or chemical imbalance in the brain and that’s why these people feel they were born this way.

This is a learned behavior while heterosexuality is instinct for both reproduction and self-presevation as children continue ones genetics to the next generation. I know that there are some ignorant and unreligious people out there who will make fun of and belittle my spiritual conviction that homosexuality is not only a sin against God, but is man’s first sin (the tree of the knowledge of good and evil was symbolic). God never wanting his children to be ignorant told Adam and Eve about evil, but they were experientially innocent of evil until the Adversary Satan deceived Eve and Adam did not reprove her. After that they knew evil experientially and could not partake of the “tree” (again a figure of speech or symbolic) of life so God sent them away from the tree and the garden. (The original sin was Lucifer wanting to be God instead of God.)

And all this is like to the other ills of our country and society ever since we listened to people say things like no prayers in school, no Christmas trees on government property (like town hall, or town parks); it’s as if the athests of our country to worship, but not tell people about God’s grace and goodness. (I know that the White House still puts a Christmas tree on its lawn, but in many places there is the more vocal minority who grumble against such things; while the silent majority wonder if they are being unfair to someone else’s rights.)

The question should never be “Does God love me?” the answer is always yes!
The question should always be “Do I love God?” If you believe the answer is yes than you should do what is pleasing to Him because He loves. If the answer is no; I hope and pray that God will show you His love so that you may see and understand and believe that He loves you, cares about you and always, always wants what is best for you so that you will love Him back and do His will.

Thank you for your time; I realize this was lengthy (especially as I rarely bother to participate in these kind of internet discussions).

    • You nearly lost me at ‘appauld’, but I struggled on.

Whilst you are entitled to your own opinion and are free in this country to practice your own religion, we respectfully request that you allow others to live their lives without discrimination or prejudice. Words such as you say here can be incredibly damaging, and have many negative influences on innocent people who cannot change what they are (nor should they want to). Please read the information I have gathered here so you can learn more about this issue.

Homosexuality is not a choice, it is a result of biological and environmental factors. It is not a “learned behavior.” See the website of the American Psychological Association:

      http://www.apa.org/helpcenter/sexual-orientation.aspx

And it is not a mental illness. See this document from the same people (who, you must admit, know a lot more about their profession than you or I):

      http://www.apa.org/pi/lgbt/resources/therapeutic-response.pdf

On homosexuality, the National Association of Social Workers has this to say:

“Thus, mental health professionals and researchers have long recognized that being homosexual poses no inherent obstacle to leading a happy, healthy, and productive life, and that the vast majority of gay and lesbian people function well in the full array of social institutions and interpersonal relationships.”

There is a longstanding consensus amongst psychologists and healthcare workers that homosexuality is not a mental illness as you say, which is actually an incredibly offensive statement. It is because of attitudes like yours and the resulting discrimination that suicide rates are so high amongst the gay community. Please, please pull your head in and stop spouting lies about something which you clearly know very little about before you hurt someone.

    • And while I am appauld (sic) by practicing (sic) homosexuals

As we are appalled by your spelling perhaps?

But by all means let us all remember that this mental illness (and until the mid to late twentieth century homosexuality was listed as a mental illness among psychiatrists and other mental health experts) should not be encouraged

Homosexuality is not a mental illness. Moreover it never was. It was incorrectly listed as one in the DSM. Nor is it “learned Behaviour” – tell me, can you turn heterosexuals into homosexuals? Don’t think so.

      Get with the programme.

Many here do not believe in gods either. You will have to do better than the argumentum ad Deum.

…it’s as if the athests (sic) of our country to worship, but not tell people about God’s grace and goodness.

Your country is in danger of turning into a Third World theocracy as repressive and backward as countries like Saudi Arabia.

    • Hi KA. I’d like to start off by saying that I, unlike many people on this forum, am a Christian. I love God, Jesus and my religion. And I also disagree with almost everything you just said.

“And while I am appauld by practicing homosexuals because it goes against God and nature (they cannot reproduce; adoption and invitro aside).”

But does it go against either? After all, if it goes against nature, why are their over 100 different species of animals who engage in regular homosexual behaviour?

And I also question whether it goes against God. Jesus at not point criticised homosexuality. All complaints occur in the Old Testament (And the point of the New Testament was the replacement of the old law-one of the reasons we Christians can eat shellfish), or in Paul’s letters, where even there it doesn’t state if anti-homosexuality laws are God’s law, or a local custom.

Moreover, this is entirley about male-homosexuality. Not lesbianism, which has only one mention in the Bible at all (The Old Testament, which as I pointed out previously, was superceded in the new). If God has an objection with homosexuality, then why, when he came to Earth, did he not criticise homosexuality, rather than the commercialisation of religion, or idolatry?

“But by all means let us all remember that this mental illness (and until the mid to late twentieth century homosexuality was listed as a mental illness among psychiatrists and other mental health experts)”

And? So previously we thought one thing, and now we don’t. We also previously thought bathing was immoral, and shitting in a bucket was the best way to get rid of waste. We now have improved our knowledge on hygeine, and have improved our lives as a result. This is called scientific progress.

It doesn’t matter what scientists used to say. Old knowledge is superceded by new knowledge-you have to accept that, otherwise you go against progress entirely!

” should not be encouraged because once this lifestyle is ingrained in an individual it becomes like any other physical or chemical imbalance in the brain and that’s why these people feel they were born this way.”

Hmm, interesting. I’ve got to ask though, how can you determine whether homosexuals have been born that way, or only believe that due to a lifestyle being ingrained?

“This is a learned behavior while heterosexuality is instinct for both reproduction and self-presevation as children continue ones genetics to the next generation.”

So….why do infertile couples still feel the urge for sexual activity? Moreover, why do women using contraceptives still feel the urge for sexual activity? There is no, or little chance of reproduction, so surely the urge for sexual activity would serve no purpose? Also, why do so many animals also have homosexual behaviour-unless you are telling me someone is going around teaching penguins the activity?

Could it be instead, that sexual activity has two roles: reproduction, and to promote companionship? Homosexual activity, while not able to result in reproduction, does promote companionship, which is just as important for survival as reproduction. Certainly, many biologists are pointing out the importance of companionship in sexual relations. If it feels good to be with someone, the couple is likely to continue being together.

” I know that there are some ignorant and unreligious people out there who will make fun of and belittle my spiritual conviction that homosexuality is not only a sin against God, but is man’s first sin (the tree of the knowledge of good and evil was symbolic).”

Wow! You read a lot into the symbology of the tree! I must have missed out that reading in the three years of theology.
But honestly, if homosexuality is man’s first sin, why is it not mentioned more? Even in the old testament, homosexuality is not included as a commandment, and it’s mentions in old testament law are far fewer than the mentions of idolatry. Why, if it’s the biggest sin, is it not mentioned by Jesus, or the ten commandments?

” God never wanting his children to be ignorant told Adam and Eve about evil, but they were experientially innocent of evil until the Adversary Satan deceived Eve and Adam did not reprove her.”

Wait, now you’re not making sense. If Homosexuality was man’s first sin, how exactly did Adam (A man) and Eve (A woman) experiment in it?

“(The original sin was Lucifer wanting to be God instead of God.)”

Is that from the bible, or Milton’s “Paradise Lost”?

“And all this is like to the other ills of our country and society ever since we listened to people say things like no prayers in school, no Christmas trees on government property (like town hall, or town parks); it’s as if the athests of our country to worship, but not tell people about God’s grace and goodness. (I know that the White House still puts a Christmas tree on its lawn, but in many places there is the more vocal minority who grumble against such things; while the silent majority wonder if they are being unfair to someone else’s rights.)”

I am a Christian. A proud christian and to be honest, people have questioned my beliefs previously. But no one, no one anywhere has tried to ban them. Nor have I seen a shortage of christmas trees anywhere in Australia.

“The question should never be “Does God love me?” the answer is always yes!
The question should always be “Do I love God?” If you believe the answer is yes than you should do what is pleasing to Him because He loves.”

Shouldn’t the question be “Do I love my fellow man, as God loves me?” That’s what Jesus asked for-for us to love each other. You have said in this post that you pity homosexuals, but at no point did you say you loved them. Pity is not love. Pity is hurtful, pity is condescending. Love is love.

  8. Cummings, I’m sure you’re aware we live in a Secular society. While religous freedoms are also an important aspect we need to ensure that religous doctorines are kept separate from public policy.

You are well within your rights to have the opinion you have expressed in line with your Christian morality. However, secular morality does not permit this type of discrimination.

What do YOU think about this?
