Watched ‘Can of Worms’ last night. Apparently, according to some twat of a comedian called Matt (someone), Layne Beachley and leader of the Fuckhead Party, Bob Katter, it’s always acceptable to tell racist jokes. In fact, it is their opinion, and the opinion of several of the members of the audience, and the majority of the people polled by Roy Morgan for the show that it if we didn’t crack racist jokes, we would become a ‘humourless society’.
WHAT THE FUCK?
These idiots talk as though racist jokes are the ONLY jokes. Racist jokes make up about 5% of the comedic gold that we see on TV shows and at the stand up gigs.
Racist jokes have NO use in our society other than to perpetuate negative stereotypes and to excuse ‘sneaky’ racism – which is much easier to accept – isn’t it?
It always annoys me when people talk about society being so ‘politically correct’ that they can’t crack racist jokes or call others derogatory names. It’s not political correctness, it is called being respectful.
I could make a joke about Dylan having a pic of a goat as his profile shot, but it’s too easy…
dylan or the goat is too easy?
Upon closer examination of Amy’s pic, it looks like even her dog wants to get the hell away from her.
Some of these so called jokes are virtually taking the factual elements of genocide and spitting them back in a man’s face Very risky to tell any of these anywhere within earshot of my place Better men are watching you scum and you better believe that we aren’t laughing
When public figures endorse racist actions, is it any wonder that the people who are so limited that they need to define themselves by what “celebrities” say and do copy them?
However the tables can be turned on them…
1. Have you heard the one about the racist who choked on yoghurt? He found out there was a foreign culture in it.
2. What do you call a racist wearing a suit? The accused.
“When public figures endorse racist actions, is it any wonder that the people who are so limited that they need to define themselves by what “celebrities” say and do copy them?”
@Josh: You have succinctly captured one of the most important points in the entire debate. Wise words.
There’s a huge difference between joking about race and telling racist jokes. The jokes above are disgusting and racist. There are people who joke about race in a way that pokes fun at stereotypes, eases racial tension and helps to promote harmony. I don’t think that race should be off limits to humour, but I do think racial humour should have a point to make. If that point is merely to degrade and laugh at others, then that’s just as repugnant as any other form of racism.
Dylan has a goat in his profile photo and Amy has a dog in her profile photo? No comment.
Is this Amy Marie Collin? http://ttuned.com/forums/index.php?s=ee24065bde10f630982b42b2fc64bacf&showtopic=279721&pid=6206638&st=150&#entry6206638
Lives in the NSW Central Coast. No rushing to conclusions though. Could just be her namesake.
I agree 100% with Gaybriel!
How can you tell Amy Marie Collin has been using your computer?
There’s liquid paper on the screen.

How does Amy Marie Collin hold her liquor?
By the ears.

How do you make Amy Marie Collin’s eyes twinkle?
Shine a flashlight in her ear.
hahahahahaha!!!!!
These jokes are amusing if you use them on racists, brogans, sexists etc.
